DEACON
LEAH LINDSEY
I was saved October 14, 1987, daughter of a Minister of Music, Evangelist, and Deacon. I was raised Southern Baptist and educated at an Independent Baptist school. I remember always being at Church.  I never skipped a day of school. This was the environment I was raised in, and I am so grateful for it. By my Parents, I was raised the way I should go, and I have not departed from it (Proverbs 22:6). I praise God that I have living parents who pray for me.

I am bi-sexual. In the year 1999, I was driving down the road and asked God, Who would you like me to be with, a man or a woman? He said, "Go find a woman". So I began looking, and within a couple of weeks, I found Amy.

God began calling me back to Him and my life was forever changed in 2002 when I found New Covenant. I learned that God is Here for All Us Queers. He continues to fulfill the process He promised in Philippians 1:6 which says, "He who began a good work in you will be faithful to complete it till the end."
I proposed to Amy on April 13, 2005. We were married May 13, 2006. You can find more of that testimony on www.CovenantCouple.com.

At pride in 2006, God sent a couple to us from Laurel Mississippi. I met them at Pride, congratulated them on their engagement, prayed for them, I gave them a brochure to the Church, and they went on their way. Less than two weeks later my pastor said, the couple you prayed for wants your contact info. Amy and I spoke to them, and realized that this was a divine appointment from God which birthed the ministry of Pre-Marital Counseling.

We completed the first class of the Fire Institute in 2007. It was a wonderful course which boosted my SpiritMan! Once that was finished, the Covenant Couple ministry grew. Eventually we began counseling Married Couples as well. In Fall of 2008, the Events Ministry and 732 began. Then in 2009 we began counseling Unmarried Couples and Individuals interested in Freedom  In April of 2009 Amy and I were ordained as Deacons.

My life verse is Hebrews 12: 1-3 MSG - "Do you see what this means-all these pioneers who blazed the way, all these veterans cheering us on? It means we'd better get on with it. Strip down, start running-and never quit! No extra spiritual fat, no parasitic sins. Keep your eyes on Jesus, who both began and finished this race we're in. Study how He did it. Because He never lost sight of where He was headed-that exhilarating finish in and with God-He could put up with anything along the way: Cross, shame, whatever. And now He's there, in the place of honor, right alongside God. When you find yourselves flagging in your faith, go over that story again, item by item, that long litany of hostility He plowed through. That will shoot adrenaline into your souls!"
