This Weekend at NCCA

"And they (believers) overcame him (Satan) by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death." (Rev. 12:11)

Growing up, I was a part of a church that believed in testifying.  The service would get quiet, people would testify, it was getting late, folks would testify, testify, testify.  Often our services would start at 10am and end around 2 or 3pm.  I learned something through those times, watching and encountering a testimony-culture, THERE IS POWER IN TESTIMONY.

In order to “Move Forward” in God, we must learn to SEE and SAY what God has already accomplished in our lives (Matthew 16:5-10).  Over and over again in the Word of God, we are taught to give thanks for what God has accomplished in our lives and to declare what God has done, without self-centeredness or pride.  We also learn that our victory is strongly contingent upon our testifying to the goodness of God.

The Greek word for “testimony” is “marturia,” which means, “to certify, to declare, to see something and say what was seen.”  What have you seen God do in your life?  Share it.  What has God said or done?  Share it.

In the Atlanta revival/outpouring, we need to understand that in order for the revival culture that is taking place here to continue and for the outpouring of the Holy Spirit to continue without hindrance, we must testify to what God has already done.  There are powerful, supernatural events taking place, let’s share about the awesome power and presence of God.  Let’s use our facebook accts, our Myspaces, Twitter, etc, let’s use Blogs, websites, etc, every possible venue to declare that here, now, there is an open window of God’s great Grace, Power, and Presence.  Let’s give God the Glory and tell of His Mighty Deeds.

2010 has been declared as the “Moving Forward” Year.  Several passages of Scripture come to mind almost immediately as we reflect on the prophetic implications of “Moving Forward.”

We see Lot’s Wife, who was called to move forward, and when she didn’t she forever froze in one spot.

We see the Children of Israel, when they were called out of Egypt, they were called to move forward with a pillar of fire by day and cloud by night leading them through to a new and better home free from slavery and the tyranny of the enemy.

We see the church moving forward throughout the entire book of Acts – ever gaining ground, overcoming obstacles, defeating the enemy, declaring the authority of the Kingdom of God and the power of the Name of Jesus – not going backward but ever moving forward.

In 2010, as we are in the new year, we will discover that now is the time for us to take hold of the promises of God.

-If you have sin in your life, repent, and MOVE FORWARD
-If you have broken relationships, do what you can to bring restoration, and MOVE FORWARD
-If you desire to move into the calling of God on your life, get in church and MOVE FORWARD
-If you want to see God use you more and more, MOVE FORWARD

This is the year of moving forward, now is the time.

In Love and Service,
Pastor Randy Morgan

Will you take the challenge? We want to issue a challenge to everyone at NCCA and abroad. Let's read through the New Testament together in 2010.

The Daily Devotionals have a New Testament, Old Testament, Psalms, and Proverbs reading on each day; I would like us to study the New Testament this year to really FOCUS on New Covenant themes, on SEEING Jesus as He really is, and by "seeing" Him through the readings, be transformed from Glory to Glory (Col. 1:15, 2 Cor. 3:18, 2 Tim 3:16).

If you have extra time, and want to commit to the entire readings of OT, NT, Psalms and Proverbs, we encourage you to do so; however, let's take the challenge and focus on studying the New Covenant (Testament).

If you'd like to get a print out, bookmark reading schedule, please contact Pastor Randy; otherwise, I encourage you to utilize the daily devotional and simply read the New Testament schedule.

On-line discussion forum for study, coming soon...
