Create!

Create is a worship ministry with a primary focus of hands-on artistic expression. Even when we think we are not artistic or talented in this way, we learn from the Word that “in the beginning, God created…”. If the very first thing we learn about God is that He created, and we know from Scripture that we ourselves were created in His image, then we, in turn, must be creative! God made each of us to create new things in His name, and one area we can put this into action is in the area of the arts.

Artistic expression is a great way to worship the One who created us! Just like we can sing our praises, dance and wave banners in worship, we can also create artistic renditions, prophetic in nature, to represent what the Lord is speaking to us, and our response to Him.

So come out to a Create event, pick up a paintbrush or a pencil and watch what God does through you…you just might surprise yourself. Our next Create event is 01/22, 7:30PM at Church.

Refiner's Fire

Throughout 2009 and today, God has allowed our Church Family to go through a Refiner’s Fire. We have encountered trials and tests of many kinds (James 1:2-4) which has changed our hearts. God is allowing this so we can have the opportunity to release the things of the Old to embrace the New. This is all for the purpose of becoming a more beautiful Bride for Jesus.

Refine means “to become pure, to become more fine, elegant, or polished.” Source-dictionary.com

It’s not easy to go through a refining process. Wikipedia.org says “The term is usually used of a natural resource that is almost in a usable form, but which is more useful in its pure form.” – This stands out to me and I hear it say this… I am “almost in a usable form” but once I go through the Refiner’s (God’s) Fire (process), I will become more useful in a pure form. Every Believer I know wants to be used by God. But how many of us want to allow God to take us through the Refiner’s Fire, going through trials and tests to purify our hearts, to become more elegant and polished?

In this new year, allow God to refine you so that you can be more useful to Him and His plan for your life. Less of me, more of You, Father.

In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. These have come so that your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire—may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed. Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy.1 Peter 1:6-8 NIV

Will you take the challenge? We want to issue a challenge to everyone at NCCA and abroad. Let's read through the New Testament together in 2010.

The Daily Devotionals have a New Testament, Old Testament, Psalms, and Proverbs reading on each day; I would like us to study the New Testament this year to really FOCUS on New Covenant themes, on SEEING Jesus as He really is, and by "seeing" Him through the readings, be transformed from Glory to Glory (Col. 1:15, 2 Cor. 3:18, 2 Tim 3:16).

If you have extra time, and want to commit to the entire readings of OT, NT, Psalms and Proverbs, we encourage you to do so; however, let's take the challenge and focus on studying the New Covenant (Testament).

If you'd like to get a print out, bookmark reading schedule, please contact Pastor Randy; otherwise, I encourage you to utilize the daily devotional and simply read the New Testament schedule.

On-line discussion forum for study, coming soon...

2010 has been declared as the “Moving Forward” Year.  Several passages of Scripture come to mind almost immediately as we reflect on the prophetic implications of “Moving Forward.”
We see Lot’s Wife, who was called to move forward, and when she didn’t she forever froze in one spot.
We see the Children of Israel, when they were called out of Egypt, they were called to move forward with a pillar of fire by day and cloud by night leading them through to a new and better home free from slavery and the tyranny of the enemy.
We see the church moving forward throughout the entire book of Acts – ever gaining ground, overcoming obstacles, defeating the enemy, declaring the authority of the Kingdom of God and the power of the Name of Jesus – not going backward but ever moving forward.
In 2010, as we are in the new year, we will discover that now is the time for us to take hold of the promises of God.

·         If you have sin in your life, repent, and MOVE FORWARD

·         If you have broken relationships, do what you can to bring restoration, and MOVE FORWARD
·         If you desire to move into the calling of God on your life, get in church and MOVE FORWARD
·         If you want to see God use you more and more, MOVE FORWARD

This is the year of moving forward, now is the time.

 In Love and Service,
Pastor Randy Morgan
