Intercessory Prayer

From Ron Rock

I will head up a group of people to meet in the park this Sunday as it is the first Sunday in May. We will gather some "park" and bring it to Sunday morning intercession. We can meet at the bridge that comes in from Park Ave near the dog area, gather some ground, pray and be at the church by ten or earlier. We can meet every Sunday and do the same and the "more dirt" will be prophetic to the "more people saved" on and as a result of the Pride Outreach. A scripture tie-in is the idea of "like grains of sand that cannot be counted..." In June we will add the prophetic act of walking the park praying, releasing more of the Holy Spirits power, probably needing to meet at 8:30 those mornings.

Mondays - at Ron Rock’s Home in Tucker.  For more information, see him.

A number of years ago, when we first began our “Pride Evangelism Outreaches” here at New Covenant, we “prayer walked” the park prior to our outreach.  The first time we did it, we collected a few little zip-lock bags of dirt, rocks, small parts of the park to bring to intercessory prayer meetings as a “Point of Contact” in order to make prophetic declarations over the park together.    6 years later, we are taking up the burden again as it once was, God has restored the burden for the lost and we are taking up the call to pray, and Ron will be helping herald the call for prayer.

God Bless,

Pastor Randy Morgan

Text Box: Confession is Made Unto Salvation

The Word of God says that “Confession is made unto Salvation” (Romans 10:10b).  The Greek word for confession is “homologeo,” which means, “to say the same thing as…”  And the Greek word for salvation is Soteria, which means, “deliverance, healing, protection, nothing missing, nothing broken…”

Confession or “saying the same thing as…God says” and putting our faith in agreement with what God has said, produces Soteria-salvation, not just the eternal salvation that prepares us for heaven, but salvation that keeps us here while we are in the earth.

Saying what God says is very simple, but it takes discipline, and so few of us are willing to put the time into it that it actually takes.  We must study the Word of God and find out what God has said, and then say it ourselves.  We must allow the study of the Word to become a top priority in our lives.

Let’s start by making some very simple but powerful confessions of faith.  Take these confessions, say them a few times a day, out loud, so that you can hear your own voice speaking them, and think on them throughout the day:

  • I am a child of God, I am loved by my Father God, and I am never alone (Ephesians 1:5 / 1 John 4:19 / Hebrews 13:5)
  • I live like, act like, behave like, and talk like God.  I am His Child, I have His nature in me, I am righteous, and I live a holy life.  I overcome temptation by the power of the Holy Spirit, In Jesus’ Name (Eph. 5:1 / 2 Peter 1:4 / Hebrews 2:18)
  • The Name of Jesus is the source of my authority; therefore, I confess, declare, and establish everything that I have said In Jesus’ name – Amen.

Your words, your confessions have power (Mark 11:22-24 and Proverbs 18:21), use them to establish God’s plans and purposes in your life and the lives of others.

Do You Want More Power?  Do you want to experience the supernatural power of God and miracles more consistently in your life?  Then you definitely want to receive the infilling of the Holy Spirit.  The Holy Spirit is the member of the Godhead that is present in the earth to administrate God’s Presence and supernatural abilities among His children.

Word for Today

From Pastor Angela Brown

Last night in Bible Study we talked about the rain that God blesses us with in our lives and the reign that He wants over our lives. Often times when it rains in the natural, we run to find shelter, but what about the heavenly rain that God wants to give us. When allow ourselves to soak in the rain that God offers, we give him reign over our lives. What better place is there to be than in the midst of a God rain storm?

After a strong steady rain, the water rises and if in it we find ourselves wading in the water. I don’t know about you, but I would love to be at that place where God has rained in my life so much that I have to wade in the blessings that He has for me.

Mal. 3:10

10 Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this," says the LORD Almighty, "and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it.

Confession of Faith

From Pastor Joan Castle

(Say the following out loud during your devotional time, and meditate on these scriptural promises)

Father, if I confess my sins, You are faithful and just to forgive me my sins, and to cleanse me from all unrighteousness.  Lord, You are gracious and merciful, and will not turn away Your face from me.  If my heart condemn me, God You are greater than my heart, and knows all things.  You are my hiding place; You shall preserve me from trouble; You shall compass me about with songs of deliverance.

I believe in You, Jesus and out of my belly shall flow rivers of living water.  The Spirit of truth will guide me into all truth: for He shall not speak of Himself; but whatsoever He shall hear, that shall He speak: and He will show me things to come.  Now I have received the spirit which is of God; that I might know the things that are freely given to me by God.  For I have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but I have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby I cry, Abba, Father.  The kingdom of God is righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.  Freely I have received, freely I give to others that they may know Jesus.  Amen!

Growing For Sowing

Exceed to Seed

If God is giving you dreams and visions for something to accomplish here at New Covenant, then please, by all means share it with Pastor Randy.

Write it down and e-mail it:  Habakkuk 2:2 says, “And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that reads it.”  Write down what God is showing you and share it.

2007 is a year of “Growing for Sowing.”  A time for us to continue to grow.  As we are set to enter into the hundreds here at this local church, let’s keep in mind that God has also called us to other cities, other nations, etc.

God is setting in motion events that will send various leaders here at New Covenant to the north, south, east, and west.  We’re not just going to call them in, we will go out.  So, 2007 will be the year that we grow in order to sow.  That we exceed where we are in order to seed in other places.

Keeping in mind that God has called this church, New Covenant Church of Atlanta, to be a local church.  We are here, and God has called us here to this city.  However, God has also called us to go out as well.  So, be praying about your place and what God has for you.  These are exciting times.  Let’s grow together!!!
