The Joshua Ministry

(New Covenant’s Intercessory Prayer Ministry)

From Ron Rock

I will head up a group of people to meet in the park this Sunday as it is the first Sunday in May. We will gather some "park" and bring it to Sunday morning intercession. We can meet at the bridge that comes in from Park Ave near the dog area, gather some ground, pray and be at the church by ten or earlier. We can meet every Sunday and do the same and the "more dirt" will be prophetic to the "more people saved" on and as a result of the Pride Outreach. A scripture tie-in is the idea of "like grains of sand that cannot be counted..." In June we will add the prophetic act of walking the park praying, releasing more of the Holy Spirits power, probably needing to meet at 8:30 those mornings.

Mondays - at Ron Rock’s Home in Tucker.  For more information, see him.

A number of years ago, when we first began our “Pride Evangelism Outreaches” here at New Covenant, we “prayer walked” the park prior to our outreach.  The first time we did it, we collected a few little zip-lock bags of dirt, rocks, small parts of the park to bring to intercessory prayer meetings as a “Point of Contact” in order to make prophetic declarations over the park together.    6 years later, we are taking up the burden again as it once was, God has restored the burden for the lost and we are taking up the call to pray, and Ron will be helping herald the call for prayer.

God Bless,

Pastor Randy Morgan

Text Box: The E-Pistle

Text Box: From Pastor Randy

Text Box: Faith

Romans 10:17 says, “Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.”  In this Scripture, we see the following:

  • Faith Cometh

We must understand that faith comes into our lives through a method that God has set in place.  We don’t just “automatically” have strong, developed, miracle-working faith.  We have faith through a process.  What is that process?

  • By hearing The Word of God

We must give God’s Word first place in our lives because faith only comes through the Word of God.  You were born-again because you heard the Word of God.  You know that you can have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ because you heard the Word of God.

Your healing will come through hearing and speaking the Word of God.  Your peace will come through hearing and speaking the Word of God.  The Word of God is the seed that produces the root of faith, which will produce everything that you need.

Church attendance where the Word of God is given first place, your faith will grow because you will hear the Word of God preached.  Don’t go where the Word of God isn’t taught.

No Word = doubt and unbelief.  True, Biblical faith only comes through hearing the Word of God.  Just “trusting” or “believing” God isn’t enough.  The Bible tells us that the devils believe God.  Faith must be rooted and grounded in the Word.  This is why the Word of God is so very vital in our lives as Christians.  It is imperative that you study the Scriptures and hear the Word.

How to “hear the Word of God”:

  1. Read it – set aside 5+ minutes every single day to read the Word.  More is desirable, but if you only have 5 minutes, take advantage of those 5 minutes.
  2. Speak it – find a promise scripture everyday, and speak it throughout the day.  For example, Psalm 91:2a says, “I will say of the Lord ‘He is my refuge and my fortress…’”  That is a powerful promise to meditate on and speak out loud throughout any day.  Your faith will develop as you “hear” the Word of God coming out of your own mouth.
  3. Write it – keep a journal of what you have read, and let God speak to you through His Word.

Faith comes by hearing the Word of God.  If you want more faith, it’s time to begin to stir your hunger for more of the Word…

Say this prayer out loud:

Father, I want to get into Your Word.  I know that Your Word is what will produce faith in my life.  Help me to become hungry for Your Word.  Cause my church family, my pastors, my home, everyone, to become hungry for Your Word.  IN Jesus’ Name.  Amen.

Do You Want More Power?  Do you want to experience the supernatural power of God and miracles more consistently in your life?  Then you definitely want to receive the infilling of the Holy Spirit.  The Holy Spirit is the member of the Godhead that is present in the earth to administrate God’s Presence and supernatural abilities among His children.

Word for Today

From Pastor Angela Brown

This morning the song Let It Rise has been on my heart. The words of the

song are:

Let the glory of the Lord, rise among us,

Let the glory of the Lord, rise among us.

Let the praises of the King rise among us,

Let it rise.

Let the songs of the Lord, rise among us,

Let the songs of the Lord, rise among us.

Let the joy of the King, rise among us,

Let it rise.

Oh - oh - oh, let it rise.

Oh - oh - oh, let it rise.

These words tell us that the glory of God is within each of us. To have this glory consume us, all we have to do is allow it to take place. So often we allow the influences of the world to get us, either up or down.

Today, Let The Glory of The Lord take control of your life and your soul.

1 John 5:4-6

4for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that

has overcome the world, even our faith. 5Who is it that overcomes the

world? Only he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God.

6This is the one who came by water and blood-Jesus Christ. He did not

come by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit who

testifies, because the Spirit is the truth.

(Say the following out loud during your devotional time, and meditate on these scriptural promises)

I confess, “Jesus is my Lord” I possess salvation.  I confess, “By His Stripes I am healed,” I possess healing.  I confess, “the Son has made me free,” I possess absolute freedom.  I confess “the love of God is shed abroad in my heart by the Holy Ghost,” I possess the ability to love everyone.

I confess, “the righteous are as bold as a lion,” I possess lion-hearted boldness in spiritual warfare.  I confess, “He will never leave me nor forsake me,” I possess the presence of God each step I take.  I confess, “I am the redeemed of the Lord,” I possess redemption benefits every day.  I confess, “the anointing of the Holy One abides in me,” I possess yoke destroying results by this anointing.  I confess, “in the name of Jesus I can cast out devils,” I possess dynamic deliverances as I defeat the enemy.  I confess, “I lay hands on the sick and they recover,” I possess positive healings for the oppressed.  I confess, “I am a branch of the Living Vine,” I possess Vine-Life wherever I go.  I confess, “I am a temple of the living God,” I possess God dwelling in me and walking in me.  I confess, “My God shall supply all my need,” I possess the supply of my every need”

In Jesus Name, Amen.

Growing For Sowing

Exceed to Seed

If God is giving you dreams and visions for something to accomplish here at New Covenant, then please, by all means share it with Pastor Randy.

Write it down and e-mail it:  Habakkuk 2:2 says, “And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that reads it.”  Write down what God is showing you and share it.

2007 is a year of “Growing for Sowing.”  A time for us to continue to grow.  As we are set to enter into the hundreds here at this local church, let’s keep in mind that God has also called us to other cities, other nations, etc.

God is setting in motion events that will send various leaders here at New Covenant to the north, south, east, and west.  We’re not just going to call them in, we will go out.  So, 2007 will be the year that we grow in order to sow.  That we exceed where we are in order to seed in other places.

Keeping in mind that God has called this church, New Covenant Church of Atlanta, to be a local church.  We are here, and God has called us here to this city.  However, God has also called us to go out as well.  So, be praying about your place and what God has for you.  These are exciting times.  Let’s grow together!!!
