Text Box: From Pastor Randy

Text Box: Gratitude for all the Hard Work and Updates

OK, I sat down to begin to write a note of gratitude to everyone who has helped and is helping in this awesome move, and when I got to 20 names, I just stopped because I was afraid I would, at the end of the list, leave people out.  You are such an amazing congregation.  You are so willing to give your all.  We spoke about sacrifice yesterday at New Covenant – “it’s not a one time payment, it’s a life time of installments.”  Sacrifice is at the core of who you are, and I’m so thankful to be the overseer of a flock of God’s precious sheep that is so willing to do what it takes to accomplish what God has called us all together to do.

We’re almost to a “finishing” point.  Just as an update, we are going to begin painting the sanctuary tomorrow, and looking to install “Track Lighting” over the coming days.  Reva is designing a stain glass for the platform, Pastor Brian and Ron R. found wonderful materials for curtains, and Ed is working on curtains – some of us are going to begin building a platform in the coming days.  Carpet will be in very soon.  The offices are painted, and God is going to be providing more furniture through individuals who have said that they had some to donate.  It’s all very, very exciting.

A funny moment happened yesterday, when many from the congregation rode up to view the new facility…  I addressed everyone and said, “I see this becoming the offices of the New Covenant Network, a youth center, and multifunctional fellowship hall, and us taking possession of the whole facility beyond us, which conceivably could seat potentially several, several hundred…”  Everyone looked at me and someone said gently, “Pastor, let us get in here first…”  Let’s enjoy what God is doing, let’s relish these times that God is binding our hearts together in ways that He never has before, and let’s take a moment to “Taste and see that the Lord is good…”  Let’s take a moment to “Stand still and see the salvation of our God…”

Now, in all the excitement, let’s not forget the vision that God has given us:

We honor and welcome the Presence of the Lord corporately and individually through worship (Psalm 139:13 | Psalm 100:1-5).

We honor and esteem the teaching of the Word of God and Prayer (1 Cor. 1:21 | Acts 2:42-47)

We equip believers with understanding of vital Kingdom principals and activation of their gifts and callings (Ephesians 4:11-12)

We reach out without compromise to those who are not born-again with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. (Matthew 28: 18-20)

Here is the cornerstone of our faith.  Here is our confession that propels us.  Here are, what I believe to be, the most important aspects of a Christian’s life and a Church’s lifestyle.  Here, we find the chief principals of Kingdom expansion…  When our priorities are in order, nothing, nothing, nothing will stand between us and the destiny that God has for us.

In all the excitement, may we never forget that it’s not in the buildings, it’s not in the ministries, it’s not in the presentation – it’s all in Who HE IS…

Remember, Jesus is Lord,

Pastor Randy Morgan

The Joshua Ministry

(New Covenant’s Intercessory Prayer Ministry)

From Ron Rock

I will head up a group of people to meet in the park this Sunday as it is the first Sunday in May. We will gather some "park" and bring it to Sunday morning intercession. We can meet at the bridge that comes in from Park Ave near the dog area, gather some ground, pray and be at the church by ten or earlier. We can meet every Sunday and do the same and the "more dirt" will be prophetic to the "more people saved" on and as a result of the Pride Outreach. A scripture tie-in is the idea of "like grains of sand that cannot be counted..." In June we will add the prophetic act of walking the park praying, releasing more of the Holy Spirits power, probably needing to meet at 8:30 those mornings.

Mondays - at Ron Rock’s Home in Tucker.  For more information, see him.

If you have a need, the intercessors will pray for that need.

Growing For Sowing

Exceed to Seed

If God is giving you dreams and visions for something to accomplish here at New Covenant, then please, by all means share it with Pastor Randy.

Write it down and e-mail it:  Habakkuk 2:2 says, “And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that reads it.”  Write down what God is showing you and share it.

2007 is a year of “Growing for Sowing.”  A time for us to continue to grow.  As we are set to enter into the hundreds here at this local church, let’s keep in mind that God has also called us to other cities, other nations, etc.

God is setting in motion events that will send various leaders here at New Covenant to the north, south, east, and west.  We’re not just going to call them in, we will go out.  So, 2007 will be the year that we grow in order to sow.  That we exceed where we are in order to seed in other places.

Keeping in mind that God has called this church, New Covenant Church of Atlanta, to be a local church.  We are here, and God has called us here to this city.  However, God has also called us to go out as well.  So, be praying about your place and what God has for you.  These are exciting times.  Let’s grow together!!!
