Provision

This week I have written to you about being alert and prepared. Today I would like to back up for a second and discuss the provisions that God has provided us to help us to accomplish the previous two. God gave his son Jesus to die as our sin on the cross, so that we could have life (John 3:16). In doing this, Jesus also deposited God’s grace and mercy upon us. There is nothing that we can do in our natural bodies to have sufficient provision, but once we accept Jesus as our Lord and savior, our provisions are more than enough. Lean not on yourselves, but on God, for he has never failed in anything that He has attempted. God will never leave you without enough provisions to get through.

Rom 5:16-18 16Again, the gift of God is not like the result of the one man's sin: The judgment followed one sin and brought condemnation, but the gift followed many trespasses and brought justification. 17For if, by the trespass of the one man, death reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive God's abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ.

18Consequently, just as the result of one trespass was condemnation for all men, so also the result of one act of righteousness was justification that brings life for all men.

From Pastor Joan

Confession of Faith

Father, I rejoice in Your love and faithfulness to me.  May your name be glorified in all the earth.  For I am of God and have overcome Satan.  For greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world.  I am the body of Christ and Satan has no power over me.  For I overcome evil with good.  I am delivered from the evils of this present world for it is the will of God.

I am a doer of the Word of God and am blessed in my deeds.  I am happy in those things which I do because I am a doer of the Word of God.  I take the shield of faith and I quench every fiery dart that the wicked one brings against me.  I am an overcomer and I overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of my testimony.  I am submitted to God and the devil flees from me because I resist him in the name of Jesus.  The Word of God is forever settled in heaven.  Therefore, I establish His Word upon this earth.

Putting Leviathan to Flight

By:  Apostle Randy Morgan

Have you ever known that God wanted to say something through you? Has His Voice been so strong that you could feel the "declarations" about to fly out of your mouth? Have you ever sensed the prayer language (or tongues) welling up from your innermost being? And yet, while you've wanted to release the sound of His Voice, to release His Gifts, His Words, to release the flow of the supernatural prayer language, you've felt almost like you were being choked by some invisible force? If you can answer yes to any of these questions, you may have fallen victim to a "choking, controlling, intimidating demonic influence." There are so many things I could say about this spirit, but today, I want to address a few very direct pieces of revelation knowledge so that you can BEGIN the breaking free process. Today, we're going to identify this thing for what it is, expose it, and continue to break through its influence.

  1. What it is.

A choking, intimidating spirit is an influence or a principality that the Bible refers to as Leviathan. Job 41 talks about the image of this spirit. He is a spirit that sits in judgment, inappropriately, over the anointing and the gifts of God. He is the King of Pride (Job 41:34).

We see this principality manifested during Jesus' life to try and thwart what God was doing. Matthew 9:32-34 tells of a dumb spirit, a choking spirit that was cast out. Immediately, the religious community began to declare, that's not authentic, that's not of God. Leviathan is a religious spirit that wants power to sit in judgment over the works of God. Every time judgment is released through the words of people's mouths, statements such as, "oh, God's not at work in this; that isn't God, etc." then Leviathan's stranglehold gets a little tighter, and fewer people operate in the gifts and callings that are resident in their lives. They become choked.

  1. What it does.

Job 41:16 says that Leviathan's scales are so tight that "no air can come between them." The word air is the Hebrew word Ruach, which also means spirit (References: John 20:22, Acts 2:1-4). Leviathan's scales are his pride (Job 41:15). So, any place where Leviathan is given space, the flow of the Holy Spirit is given less space - "No air can flow." Therefore, where this principality is resident, messages in tongues, interpretations, miracles, prophecies, hearing from God, releasing the Word of the Lord, etc become rare. Gifts flow much less in a Leviathan Atmosphere.

  1. How to get free from it.
  • Understand and utilize your authority. Jesus said, "In my name, you shall cast out devils" (Mark 16:17). In Acts 16:18, we read about a spirit being cast out by the authority of the Name of Jesus. If a demonic influence is hindering you - USE THE NAME OF JESUS.
  • Confess the Word. Everyday, begin to say, "I am free from any hindrance; from any influence that would keep me from operating in the supernatural power of God."
  • Don't sit by and become complacent. God's power will be released if you will act in faith. Though it may be difficult, begin to rise up and worship, sing, praise, etc - in your understanding and in the spirit. Access the power of God by becoming active in a whirlwind of redemptive activity - songs of praise, praying in the Spirit, etc. Leviathan can not abide the wind of the Spirit flowing; and as Smith Wigglesworth once said, "if the Holy Spirit isn't moving, I will move Him with my faith. So, ACT UP SAINTS OF GOD AND PUT LEVIATHAN TO FLIGHT!!!

God Bless,

Apostle Randy Morgan

What is The 150???

Scriptural basis for GROWING:

So pray to the Lord of the harvest to force out and thrust laborers into His harvest (Matthew 9:38)

Great multitudes followed Jesus (Matthew 4:25).

Great multitudes gathered together unto Him (Jesus) (Matthew 13:2).

Great multitudes came unto him having with Him those who were lame, blind, dumb, and maimed and many others and cast them at Jesus’ feet and He healed them … and the multitudes were amazed (Matthew 15:30).

The multitudes resorted to Him (Jesus) and He taught them (Mark 2:13).

And the believers were the more added to the Lord, multitudes both men and women (Acts 5:14)

The Word increased and the number of disciples increased (Acts 6:7)

The Hand of the Lord was with them and a great number believed and turned to the Lord (Acts 11:21)

We are always setting goals here at New Covenant for higher, greater, more excellent, and more powerful service to God.  Without a vision people perish and cast off all restraint, so goals are vital for any group to thrive and grow, especially in the Kingdom.  God has given us a vision and a message that will reach the nations, help revolutionize lives, and lead souls into a relationship with our God and King.  With that in mind, in order to fulfill the vision that God has given New Covenant Church of Atlanta, we must grow even beyond the awesome growth we’ve seen through the years – we need many more people.  Not just to sit in pews, but laborers, ready to get to work for the demonstration of God’s plans and purposes.  So, a goal has been set - 150 people as our base attendance and beyond.

Will you set your faith in agreement?  Will you call friends, family, loved ones, those who haven’t been to church in a while?  Will you send cards, e-mails, etc.?  Will you call it forth in prayer?  If so, thank you.  God is going to do amazing things here in this Body of Believers.  We need the exponential power of unity and growth to continue here at New Covenant – to breakthrough the 100 or so mark in attendance, to increase in order to sow out into the world.  Let’s reach higher than we’ve ever reached before

A corporate confession based on the Scriptures above, say this out loud:

Where Jesus was, multitudes followed Him, gathered together with Him, were healed by Him, and taught by Him.  Father, your Word makes it plain that where Jesus is, people come – we call them in through prayer first.  You add to the church and I thank you now that the church is being added to in number.  The Word will increase, so I thank you that as the people grow in their understanding and hearing of the Word that you will increase.  Your Word increases and the people grow in their understanding of the Word; therefore, people will be added to the church. In the Name of Jesus.
