Events Planning Ministry

Vision

To create an atmosphere for fellowship and to promote family fun.

Purpose

The Events Team along with many volunteers plan and facilitate three annual events a year, occasional movie nights at the church and any other fun things we can throw in the mix. In addition we are available to assist leadership and heads of ministry with events they wish to plan.

Annual Events

Ladies Brunch and Men's Dinner

Held in the spring (ladies) and fall (men's) every year these events offer a time for all at NCCA to get to know each other better. It is a time of fellowship, worship, and learning. Each year a different person is selected to give a message of encouragement to their fellow brothers and sisters in Christ.

The men do a fabulous job serving the ladies and the ladies do a fabulous job serving the men.

Family Fun Day

Family Fun Day is our biggest event of the year. Held in late Summer/early Fall at Piedmont Park. The team and about 10 or more volunteers arrive early to secure a spot and set up all the food and games. We have games for kids and adults. We always have tons of fun, fellowship, and food.

New Covenant Cinema

Movie nights at NCCA are a blast. We provide a family friendly movie on a big screen and popcorn; you bring friends, chairs, and your favorite popcorn bowl.

Ladies Brunch

-I loved the Ladies Brunch! It was a time for me to get to slow down and meet some of the women I don't have a opportunity to on our busy Sunday mornings. When we were split up and sat with those we haven't met or we haven't spent much time with- that was a lot of fun. I came away with new friends - new bonds - new sisters. Thanks for making that happen!

-What an awesome group of women. We have a special sisterhood at NCCA and I am blessed to be a part of it.

Men's Dinner

-My favorite memory of the men's dinner was all the wonderful women that were there for us and treated us like kings. They were all beautiful and deeply appreciated by all of us there!

-As a newcomer to New Covenant, the Men's Dinner was one of my first church activities where I got to sit down and get to know some of the people who are quickly becoming dear friends of mine. I was made to feel welcomed; in fact, I was invited out to coffee with a group of the guys after the dinner. It was a great event which seemed to bring those in attendance to closer fellowship. I am glad I went.

Family Fun Day

-My favorite memory of Family Fun Day was seeing the Children lined up in the potato sacks ready for the sack race. SOOO ADORABLE!!!!!

-Its great seeing our church family as well, as their Family units playing games,getting to know one another and seeing that as a society we can have long term, lasting,relationships and a family and do it in a way that was pleasing to one another as well as God.

-Awesome God made awesome people have awesome church, took awesome pictures of awesome day of awesome fun together! Oh, AWESOME!
